

Independence Blue Cross (IBC) has been recognized by national organizations and publications for the quality of its health plans, commitment to diversity, and employment-related accomplishments.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance awarded Keystone Health Plan East “excellent” accreditation for meeting its rigorous evaluation guidelines. In addition, all contracted health care providers must pass an evaluation and meet IBC’s criteria for credentialing. IBC also conducts member-satisfaction surveys and physician-performance reviews on a continuing basis to maintain the quality of the services provided.
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s BlueWorks® program recognized IBC’s anti-fraud efforts with top-honors in two of eight categories, the Program and Investigation categories. Read more.
Since its inception in 1982, Independence Blue Cross has actively supported the Senior Games and the more than 2000 citizens over age 50 and older who are out to prove the value of sticking to a healthy lifestyle. Read more.
IBC and the nonprofit organization Phones for Life have joined forces to collect used cell phones. The phones, which will provide free emergency cell phone service, are distributed to senior citizens living in the Philadelphia region. Read more.
