2. How much paperwork is there?

Hardly any. With Security 65, there are no hospital or doctor claim forms and there’s virtually no paperwork to complete. We deal directly with contracting medical providers and pay them directly, so you won’t have the hassle of filing claims yourself.

3. Exactly how long is the preexisting-condition waiting period? I’m eager to switch plans.

If you’re currently covered by a Medicare supplement policy from another carrier or by a Blue Cross and Blue Shield policy, and you have already satisfied a preexisting condition waiting period under that policy, you will not be required to fulfill another. Also, if you have been enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B for six months, you will have satisfied the preexisting condition waiting period and you will not be required to fulfill another. For information regarding policies for members transferring from a Medicare Managed Care Program, please contact Customer Service at 1-888-926-1212.

4. Medicare changes every year. Does Security 65 meet those changes?

Absolutely, You can rest assured that your Medicare supplement protection will be up to date. Every time Medicare increases your share of the expenses, your Security 65 coverage will also be adjusted to cover those costs.

5. What is not covered by Security 65?

Security 65 helps to pay your share of the costs of Medicare-covered services. Services that are not covered by Medicare will not be covered by Security 65 — except where specifically listed in your Subscription Agreement or Outline of Coverage. Prescription drugs are not covered under Security 65, but stand-alone Part D prescription drug coverage is available with BlueRx.
